The Waterfront Group was established in 2000 and is lead by Dan Wynnyk, a top-performing advisor with CIBC Private Wealth. Our team of seven includes an analyst, a wealth advisor, a financial planner and an estate strategist with over 60 years of combined experience. Given the sheer breadth of our client base and assets under administration, we retain a network of lawyers, accountants, consultants and other advisors that round out our team.

Our clients have grown weary of the “cookie cutter” approach to asset management and truly prefer our customized, full service solution to meet their financial goals. Our team minimum is $1M in investable assets for private clients and $5M of investable assets for institutional clients.

Institutional Clients

Our institutional clients include public and private foundations, endowments and pension funds. In many cases we serve as an outsourced chief investment officer for our clients, allowing them time to focus on their operational mandates. The Waterfront Group will develop and maintain an Investment Policy Statement that outlines the goals and objectives our clients wish to achieve.

We will provide continuing education presentations for your board of directors and perform quarterly reviews of investments, IPS and disbursement quotas. We will also fulfill individual mandates such as constructing alternative investment portfolios specifically designed to provide predictable returns with low volatility and correlation to traditional asset classes.

We ensure strict due diligence, prudent, and informed fiscal judgment is applied. Skilled management of foundational finances is crucial to maintain the stability of the funding organizations that serve and enrich our community.

Our primary focus is to offer a highly communicative and professional service to our current clients and, therefore, we limit the number of new relationships we take per year, and generally only through trusted introductions/referrals.
